Norwegian steamer Oria, pressed into German service in WW2. On 11 February 1944, having left Rhodes with 4,046 Italian POWs (captured after the battle of Rhodes) and 90 German guards, and foundered in a storm in the Aegean sea. Only 21 Italians and 6 Germans survived. [1100 x 629]
