A young Indonesian man with severe wounds is photographed at the Netherlands Indies Civil Affairs (NICA) Hospital in Borneo, Dutch East Indies. He was the sole survivor of four men on whom Japanese soldiers had used for practicing beheading by sword, Balikpapan, Borneo, 26 July 1945. [1143x1524]
